Happyrobot v11.5
A lot of work was done on the backend of happyrobot this weekend. Many things that none of you even know or could care about - but these things will hopefully make your 'robot' experience better, and my robot experience less taxing.
Actually, what this means to you, is that something might break, and if does, just give me a holler.

Grey Green Gospel
Mike, of GGG is friends with Kristen of our late great 'Words from Kristen'.

Dang Lovers
Today is my wedding anniversary day - somehow, some woman was talked into marrying me. No idea how that happened.

My Gay Coffee
It was made way too light this morning - it looked like milk. It was milk I suppose. I should of not even left the store with it, but I was in a hurry and the guy behind the counter was being pokey already. I tasted it when I got to the office, then poured it down the drain and went got another downstairs.
Damn coffee.

Big weekend for me
I bought a new pair of jeans. Levis. Bought them at one of those stores on Broadway below Houston that all look the same. I was looking at the label and chuckling how specific they are in terms of style. I think I bought Distressed Vintage Pre-Shunk Relaxed Flared Boot Cut Straight Leg Tapered Fit Antique Finish ones (they also have speakers in them).
Remember when we just had one style of blue jeans? And how new ones always sucked so bad?
Remember you and me rememberin?

The Wife Said
All girls think about are ponies. And braiding their manes - possibly with nice bows.

Food Talk
We ate out way too much this weekend, even though one night was paid for by someone else. So, if you don't live in NYC and/or don't care what I think about food, you can stop reading here.

Sushi @ Ginger
We had dinner at our favorite robot hangout, Ginger, Friday night with Rockel and her friends Kelly & Will. Ginger is so great - cute restaurant with lots of creative rolls and appetizers, and generally good sushi. The staff is uber friendly and it's one of the few places in the city where they know my name, and my friend's name, and their friend's name, and on and on.
Oh, the point of all this is that Will had taken his mom to Ginger right after she had gotten back from Japan, and she loved it. She apparently hugged them - said it was the best food she had had in months.

Smith Street Kitchen
We went there for brunch with the lovely Mike (my old roommate and father of Bean) and his lovely wife Erin who has climbed on glaciers and been through jungles and things.
It was ok. The service was a bit weird, and the food was generally good, but I swear they garnished some of the plates with iceberg lettuce - actually, it was Bib lettuce I bet, but it looked kinda queer.

Vietnam + Peru
We had a fun dinner with Evan, and Harrison+Shannon+Baby at this new place in Williamsburg called Maison Saigon/Tacu Tacu, which is a Vietnamese and Peruvian place. The gimmick I suppose is that it's not some sort of fusion menu, but two separate menus in a space that is split in half design wise. So, you get two menus and can sit either on the Peru side or the Vietnamese side. The space is very well done - think of a nicer version of Planet Thai, the prices were generally cheap, but the food was just 'good'. Nothing to write home about (or in your journal).
It's real pretty though.
We walked back into the city across the Williamsburg bridge - nice view at night.

Baby
Oh, and Harrison and Shannon's baby is wacky cool. I dare you to find a cooler baby. He just chills, and they say he cries only every few days. He seems to like the city and all the things zipping around.
His stroller has built in speakers for a cd player.
