These days, I constantly get confused about whether something is a movie or a series and I'm usually wrong - at the end of the pilot in the series, I wonder, when the fuck is this going to end, this is going to be the longest movie ever if they don't get this going - and that is when usually I am informed it's a series. For those of you who love boy bands and the precision/high production value of K-Pop, watching this is sheer joy because you learn so much: hip hop dance moves, that dancing in heels is really hard (news to me), that if you age has a 1 or a 2 in front of it you need to work hard and push yourself (after that I guess we're all screwed), and a recipe for creating a global girls group - girls, a group of them, international in background, who can dance and sort of sing. Apparently singing doesn't matter that much - you only need one who can sing - and sorry that is my third sentence but I felt that was necessary to point out.

end of the affair, the
director: neil jordan
A decent, though very predictable, film about tempting fate and finding faith. Good casting, including Jordan staple Stephen Rea, help raise this film, based on a Graham Greene novel, above simple highbrow melodrama.
