Schools
Charlie Company does other operations other than convoy security. We have a section of the MSR (Main supply route) that we "own." It's security is our responsibility. We patrol this area every day, all day. It's our neighborhood.
It's not all about finding bad guys, although that's a big part of it. We try to "win the hearts and minds" of the people, and more importantly, to do the right thing. This is SGT Esty visiting a school in our area. We deliver supplies (pencils, crayons, paper, etc.) all the time. People send us tons of this stuff, and we pass it out. Hopefully, it help out these kids - and in return, they won't grow up trying to kill us.
