Patrol
This is my humvee, with me in the turret. We've just crossed a deep trench to get on this little road, pushing the limits of the humvees off road capabilities.
On this day, we're responding to some gunfire that had just happened. We had to sweep the area on west side of the highway to see if we could find the gunmen. Canals irrigate this area very well, and it is very lush. Farms growing small cherry apples, grapes and watermelons line the side of the road between the canal and the main highway. All the trees are packed tightly together, with trenches between the rows of trees for irrigation.
We never found the gunmen. There are too many places to hide. We searched a house and three cars, but without any evidence, we can't go door to door.
