happyrobot has recently uncovered copies of rejection letters from the Grant a Wish Foundation, the New York based organization which grants terminally ill children one wish. While many are granted, many more (as we found out) are not.
This is just a sample of what the foundation DOESN'T grant, leaving hundreds of children with their wishes unfulfilled…

Dear Big Nancy,
We are unable to fill your request at this time. While "beer and doughnuts" are indeed drink and food, we do not promote unhealthy eating. As we have mentioned before, you are quite out of our age range, and we don't consider illegitimate children who give you the "terminal blues" as life-threatening. Have a safe and happy holiday. (Just for the record, I am not scared of your voodoo and I, in fact, do NOT crap my pants.)
