honky cracker: Courtside! My good friend Seth found this gem today while he was cleaning out his inbox.
"Remember when the courtside rocked old school? My favorite is the ashtray next to the TV. The bad news is I think we're singing Cecilia."
This is old-school. Must be 2001 or early 2002. That's Klutch on the left, Seth smiling in the middle, and some other douchebag passing out on the right.
What I love this picture:
-- Klutch, Seth, and me. That's the old-school Boston crew right there. Them's my doggs. The good old days, when we were young and didn't feel like crap all the time and didn't have rap sheets.
-- As Seth noted, the ashtray. I can't even remember being able to smoke in bars now. There's probably a good reason for that.
-- That sweater I'm wearing is the infamous Flammable Sweater. I used to wear that thing all the time, and whenever we were out I'd inevitably spill whiskey on it, light a cigaratte, and the damn thing would catch on fire.
-- Klutch looks wicked emo in that sweater.
-- You don't see TVs sitting on tables in bars like that anymore.
-- The American flag, next to a TV and an ashtray, in front of three really drunk guys singing Simon and Garfunkel.
-- This had to have been the last song of the night, or very close to it. Whenever things would get a little out of hand, Seth and I would try to close the night with either Cecilia (his father's favorite song) or Warrant's Heaven.
-- In this picture, everything is right with the world.
