spring, movies, music and pseudonyms

Friday night was the first time I had noticed that the snow had melted. It was if I had just opened my eyes. The snow has probably been gone for a week or so, just I hadn't really thought of it yet. I also heard the spring peepers for the first time.

So feeling the spring set in as it is slowly doing, I headed downtown to see a movie. The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill. Beautiful birds, beautiful city. Amazing movie despite an ungodly-awful score and an ending that was just mean. Meaner than Bambi. Don't take your kids. I have a soft spot for animals, so it was a good movie for me.

Also, I am coping with the fact that the kids on the O.C. TV show read the same music mag as I do. Truly the last indicator that American music mags are completely written for the bottom of the birdcage. Even the O.C. kids are too cool for them. Either that or the procedure to turn me into a teenage girl was successful.

Random pseudonyms who sent me email this weekend: Vilma D. Overtly, Chemistry L. Tunelessly, Ambivalent R. Multiplica, Ovation P. Cooperative, Conservatives A. Panther, and Sateen A. Enacta. i particularly enjoy the specificity of the middle initial, as if I am supposed to wonder "What does the R. stand for?"
