Art Colony: without my pirin tablets, I'm finished

I love the movie "The Birdcage." Sometimes I am worried/bemused that I am quite a bit like Albert. Especially the scene where he goes on and on about how he can't function without his "pirin" tablets...

Armand:
What are you doing? Why are you giving him drugs? What the hell are Pirin tablets?

Agador:
They're aspirin. With the "A" and the "S" scraped off.

Armand:
No! My God! What a brilliant idea.

I've been accused (back in the day, when I still lived at home) of being addicted to aspirin. Which I say isn't true. It's just that when you start to get a headache, you must do something about it.

I don't know why I'm so tired, or why my brain was so foggy this morning, or why it felt like a troop of Glashans had danced on me all night. I went to bed early. True, I woke up at 6 AM to go to work, but still...

I saw Katie today. Which was immensely heartening, after yesterday's disheartening experience at the bank (*when I deposited my check, the teller told me that I couldn't use any $ until Friday...and we were/are running very low on food, so that made me sad, and I cried.) So Katie has gent (given me, but I want to pay her back someday when I can, so lent+given=gent) me $20 so that we can get some comestibles. Thanks a million, Katie, you have no idea how touched I am that you did that for me.

Contents of pantry, as of this morning:
Sriracha sauce
soy sauce
Boullion cubes
One bag of macaroni
A can of sweet potatoes
Bag of dried lentils
Some ramen

Contents of fridge, as of this morning:
1/4 of a gallon of 2% milk
some apples
some carrots
mustard
ketchup
horseradish sauce
ice cubes
half a stick of butter
half a lemon
A very old lime

So thanks a million, Katie. I really appreciate it.

I can hold it out and finish my english final today, right? And then I can have my pirin tablets.
