Art Colony: how cold is it in New York?
Saturday, February 18, 2006

› by victoria

Because I know New Yorkers had a record amount of snow a few days ago, something like 27 inches.

Wisconsin may have not received 27 inches, but currently we're in the middle of a brutal cold snap that has windchills in the double-digits below zero. Previously (as indicated in "taking an english test") we had a bizarre thunderstorm/snowstorm/hail combination, but at least the temperature was something around 20 degrees. Now it's -3 degrees outside, without windchill, and it's so cold that it actually burns.

this is double-pants, triple-sweater, earmuffs-hat-and-scarf weather.

On an unrelated note, Robin and I watched about half of this totally brilliant anime Appleseed that combined CG/hand-drawn graphics in a really innovative way. Unfortunately I started falling asleep around 1:30 AM so I haven't gotten to see the end yet but it promises to be really good.
