i used to be a collector of scraps of paper, funny cartoons, bitty quotes cut out of magazines and newspapers. i'd collect them in a folder marked "artifacts" and mail them off to friends and family like an eccentric old auntie who sends sticks of gum and dollar bills for holidays.
now i usually just find the crap online and email it. i do miss my artifacts.
