the library is one of my favorite places in the world. whenever i move the first thing i do is get a library card. i wish i saved all my cards from over the years - they would make great ornaments...
anyhoo, i usually go every two weeks and get about 10 books out at a time. i end up reading about 5 of those books because some turn out to be duds. every so often i hit the jackpot and all 10 are ones i have been DYING to read but grannies have had them on hold for 6 months or something.
so what i'm saying is you should go to the library if you haven't been in a while. it's fun and free and every library has that same funky "library book" smell. it rocks.
