there's this site called global ideas bank that has just the most gorgeous ideas on it on how the world should be run. Find it HERE
there's one idea that i read about and now i can't find it. but this person proposes that when everyone turns 18, they get a certain amount of money from the government - let's say $300k. okay - you get to do whatever you want with that - go to school, start your own bidness, blow it all on new robots - whatever. but when it's gone - it's gone. the government isn't giving you crap after that.
another idea is that people should be able to take a mid-career retirement - sometime around the age of 30. that way you could raise your kids, or travel or do whatever while you're still young.
