Lisa Says: meteors
set the alarm for 4:45 this morning, got bundled up and headed out to see ourselves some leonid meteors. around our house we've been saying lee-o-nid, lay-o-nid and lay-nid. we haven't really pinpointed the exact pronounciation.

i wasn't expecting to see anything and then - meteors!! yay!! it was wonderful. i only stayed out half and hour and saw about 50. since i live near the big city of raleigh, it's kinda bright so that cuts down on what you can see. but i saw some fanstastic ones. craig read an article that some of the particle dust is from 1865.

space is cool.
