I have been dumped in the most honourable way. I am pleased.
I fear this is just what I need.
Everyone - even new yorkers (dare I say especially new yorkers?) should stay at the Hotel Chelsea at least once.
I would suggest two nights (damn the expense) and bring your own bottle of wine.
A hint or two: the art gets better as you go up the stairs. never use the elevator except for coming up with the bellhop. The rooftop balcony will NOT sound an alarm if you open the door.
