Combat Construction
I've mentioned before, we did a lot of work with the Iraqi Highway Patrol and the Iraqi National Guard. I spent a lot of time pulling security on the roof of their installation. At the time, their defenses had quite a few holes, so I took it upon myself to suggest and make improvements.

This is a photo of my building a frame for a fighting position on the roof of the building. This was to provide a framework to place sandbags, and provide over head cover. This is good for several reasons; Mortars are one, and the 150 degree sun is another.

Two months later, the ING decided to go a step further. A three foot thick wall complete with concrete bunkers on each corner was erected in place of my meager sandbag walls.
