Bullet holes
Our vehicles carry over a ton of steel plating. The windshield is bullet proof glass and weighs upwards of 500 pounds. Each door is bullet proof, with three inch thick bullet proof glass windows. The Windshield will stop a .50 cal heavy machinegun bullet, as will the windows. That is, if you keep the windows up.

It's sometimes necessary to lower the window. In this case, there was an ambush from both sides of the road. The gunner was busy on one side, and the driver lowered his window a couple inches to stick his barrel out. An insurgent sniper took two good shots before the driver put his window back up. What you're looking at are the bullet holes in the top of the door jam.
