Learning to Fall: making change.
After church yesterday we found out why Momma and Dad were fighting on Valentine's Day 'cause they started up again right where their fight left off and boy were we surprised, or at least I was and I think Jillian was even though she said, "it doesn't surprise me" like she's a know it all or something.

It turns out Momma is mad at Dad for not telling Gill to cool it with how he treats Ms. Harriet in private and that if he doesn't say something soon, Momma said she will 'cause whatever it is that happens 'behind closed doors' as Momma put it is gonna someday wind up hurting Ms. Harriet permanent.

"Philetus, if she turns up one day dead, so help me Jesus you'll never hear the end of it." Momma was mad to battle Dad with Jesus' help 'cause, although she can cuss a blue streak she never uses God or Jesus to do her fightin'.

That explains the bruises that peak out from under the blouses Ms. Harriet wears all the time and why she never wears anything but long skirts and pants even though she looks like she has a slim figure and like I heard Dad tell Gill one time that he thought Ms. Harriet had "a butt you could bounce a quarter off of."

"Non, non, non," Gill wagged his stubby, hairy knuckled finger at my Dad when he spoke. "Eet is a dairy-air that can make change for a quarter eef you like," and both of them laughed out loud.

I'll have to remember to ask Momma what a dairy-air is 'cause Zit Head laughed at me and called me a child when I asked her to explain it.
