I really enjoyed a bout of swords that I played with a friend yesterday. They were these padded Japanese swords that you could hit the hell out of someone and it didn't hurt. They had a very nice heft to them as well. It was my first time using them, and I had a natural talent (oh such a long time since I have been able to utter that phrase). My lover and I both played Greg. Greg ended up getting really sweaty. I hit him in the head dozens of times, and he kept on at it (he "cut" my legs and hands off a lot). I really relished the sport and Mark did too (after he got the hang of it). I enjoyed it more because I was better at it. Isn't that funny? If I hadn't been any good at it, I would probably have done it all for humour. I'm a very sore loser and a gracious winner. No matter what though, it was quite fun to bounce around the backyard hitting someone. I had visions of social workers throughout America providing these swords to the angry and disadvantaged. We all watched "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" afterwards. It always seems so much shorter than I remember it. This was the fourth time I've seen the movie.
