Do you ever have those "friends" that make you think "my world would be great if only you'd get your ass out of your head" ? (a phrase from the Replacements not mine) Mark has just such a friend - someone he's known since college. The guy is sweet and funny in small doses, but he has this horrifying manipulative, aggressive, I'm-lonely-and-I'm-gonna-take-everyone-down-with-me attitude. I'm not CERTAIN of it, but I think he's also a huge liar. Not that this person ruined our weekend, but he certainly put a "wow, life can be so strange and I guess we were just naïve and innocent before" cast on it. Mark and I are starting to realize that it's pointless to try to filter out the bad and only accept the good though. The world seems to be a complete place: full of good and evil. In some people there is good and evil coesxiting. I know that sounds like a "duh!" revelation (the ole yin and yang), but it's the first time it's hit home to me.
