is there anything more gorgeous than stretching out your weekend so it feels like a whole week? you have to plan something for everyday of the weekend in order to do this. it helps to go away part of the weekend and stay up late too. for example, this weekend i picked up friends wm and julie at the raleigh aiport at 9:30 p.m on friday and drove them 2 hours to wm's parents house in wilmington. then we stayed up talking and went to sleep at 2:30. then we got up at 8 and had breakfast and went to the beach. then downtown wilmington for lunch and visiting and coffee (really crappy coffee at port city java - we even brought our drinks back up to have them re-made and they re-made them even crappier). then i drove back to my husband and dog (both stayed in raleigh). then we made dinner and watched "in the bedroom" (we thought it as okay). then watched an SNL re-run. sunday we slept 'til 10 and went to the library and then took the dawg for a three mile walk. then it stormed and we watched the simpsons. then we read the rest of the night.
and that's the recipe for having a long, relaxing, wonderful weekend.
