i house and dawg sat for my parents this past weekend. they have one of those 500 channel satellites. there's some excellent tee vee on these days.
i watched (some in their entirety, some in part):
flash gordon. the one from 1980. it's so great. cheese-a-rific acting and special effects.
haunted honeymoom. gene wilder and gilda radner rock. dom delouise plays gene's cross-dressing aunt kate.
house hunters. show on tlc (i think) where you follow a potential homebuyer as they look at houses. most frequently asked question: is this original? (that seems to be the only thing the buyers know how to ask - whether a wall is the original wall; whether the cabinets are original, etc. drives me nuts)
trapped. charlize theron shoots kevin bacon in the end. now you don't need to see it. lucky you.
billionaire toys. fao schwarz has a secret back room for really rich kids. they have a $100k monopoly game there that comes with $15k of REAL MONEY to play with.
a cook's tour. tour with chef anthony bourdain through russia. his book is next on my list. he drinks a lot of vodka. my brother thinks he's gay. i don't know why that's relevant but we argued for most of the show about it.
jeepers creepers. a terrible horror/thriller movie. and yes, the song "jeepers creepers" was pivitol in the film. one funny line: after one of the main characters runs over the monster several times, her brother asks "is it dead?" and as she puts the car in drive to hit the thing again she says "they never are." funny.
the osbournes. i am amused by them. they have a problem with dog poop in most episodes.
mtv cribs. the segment i saw was about some 17 year-old rapper that has 6 cars and 15 closets. that seems to be the topic of most of these shows.
