no. 1 My 4 year old can not watch a program where a character is about to be embarrassed or humiliated. You'd be surprised how often this comes up in children's programming. Supposedly there are lessons to be learned in these plot lines - like be nice to people, "stupid" is a rude word.
But my son can't deal with it- will leave the room, linger at the doorway, come get me to change the channel. I keep telling him, it's o.k. honey, because the good guys are going to win in the end. But he's not interested in that one-upsmanship stuff- it's not his kind of entertainment.
