Seen here, the happyrobot staff goes for a walk

First rule of, um
"I would go around with a camera crew, and the only rules were that I couldn't throw the first punch and the person I was confronting had to be bigger than me. Because that's where the humor comes in. It wouldn't be funny if I was fighting someone my size."
Harmony Korine's Real-Life Fight Club

Rappin Rappin Rappin
We saw the fine rockin' kids from Manamid Sunday night at Luna Lounge. Manamid was loud and rockin' and all that stuff that you expect. The band that they were traveling with is this rap group Kerbloki, which was interesting. I think. They were these three goofball white guys, and I kept trying to get their whole take on it. At first, I thought they were dead serious, and then I thought they were being ironic, and then I thought, "I just don't get it".
I am a fan of the rap, but I am not sure what they were trying to do. Not that it matters what I think, because they had a huge amount of ladies there jumping up and down and screaming. That rarely happens to me so I should shut up now. I kept thinking that they were the bizarro world version of the Icy Hot Stunaz.
Here is a review of them from bettawreckonize.com
The bands official website doesn't seem to work for me.
This is Manamid's nice website.

Mommmmm!

Spam
Good golly some people suck butt. For instance politicians in California who send out spam to drum up votes. Not only do they send out spam, they do it sneakily by using a mail relay thing in Asia and forging the headers. This dickhead's office first denied that they had done this and said maybe someone was trying to make him look bad, but then later admitted they had approved the whole thing. It seems like someone in tech savvy California would be a little smarter than this.
You would think.

On the same note, goofball singer Amy Grant did something similar when her website had a contest to see which of her fans could send out the most copies of the press release about her new album.
First, what a lame idea.
Second, when the people sent these press releases to their friends, Amy kept the addresses and then spammed the people later with announcements.
I think spam makes baby jesus cry.

This is a great example of how I believe a lot of sites work. All those nice news sites where you can email your friend a copy of the article, or Evite, or job boards where you can email a listing to a friend... I think that is just a method for them to get actual, good email addresses.
So, don't do that. Just email them a link from your own email account - otherwise you are giving your email address and your friend's address to marketing departments everywhere.
Damn Internet

Big Ass Red Bird
What was that. Still in bed and thinking about getting up, I turn and look out my fancy mini-blinds and see this brilliantly red bird sitting in the tree. He had black wings, but was fairly big and round - and really red.
Primary red.
