Cootie Girl + Keine Angst
Let me come out and say that I really like our two newest writers. Welcome aboard our crazy train. There are two new ones in the works, plus maybe 3 more. I need to start clearing out the old stuff soon (I don't think Lawton is ever coming back to Get His Hat).
Lawton doesn't love me anymore.
Maybe we should do a where are they now retrospective? Where is Kristen and what is she doing? And Poop Beetle? And KingNutshell.

Actually, I spoke to PoopBeetle and she says 'Hello' to everyone. She is restructuring her life and moving and doing all this stuff and misses the robot and hopes to come back soon.
"restructuring" sounds bad - like she's Enron or something.

The Mommyheads
The MommyHeads were a band I was introduced to in college. I am listening to their cd "Coming into Beauty" which is pretty good. Smart, clever, cute pop. It hurts to listen to if you are overly cynical and/or jaded, but if you let it in, you will smile and hum the tunes all day. Amazon doesn't carry them, which stinks. The album before Coming into Beauty was really really great. To be honest, I like that one better. If anyone has a cd copy of that they want to sell or burn me one, let me know.

Ah, wait. You can buy the mommyheads music online.

A Fun Show
Maybe someone can help me with this, but back in the day, when I was getting my learn on at university, either the Mommyheads or Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 played in town at a local run down warehouse rock club. I was excited to see them, as were like 4 other people. The band showed up driving a 'short bus'. It was a freezing night - literally. And apart from the burning oil drums of something, the huge warehouse was not at all warm. No one showed up except maybe 20 people. The band played a few songs, and then realized it was futile and told everyone to join them on stage, possibly for warmth. They continued to play some songs with people hanging out and hopping around on stage. Someone took their clothes off - I think a member of the band.
I could easily be mixing details from different shows. In the college days, me and mrs. robot-to-be went to way to many rock shows.
We liked to rock.

My Job Title
Matt and I were discussing my job title yesterday. The one I would use on resumes. He thinks I am selling my self short with what I am listing myself as. So I am changing it. I feel like I am taking a minor, imagined step up. To something.
We'll see. I have been smoking the phone lines with resumes recently. Zooom there goes another. The job think has picked up a bit recently.
Hire me, won't you?

Come on economy - you can do it. Go! Go!

My Cranky Old Man Complaints about Email (mainly Lotus Notes)
1. I really dislike when people create some sort of flowery, colorful signature on their email.
2. Lotus Notes, in my opinion, is the worst. I'm sorry. I know that some people actually like it, but coming from M$ Outlook, Notes is just a big awkward bumbling goof. Case in point, you can't open emails on their own. You know how in Outlook if you open an email, it is a freestanding item. You can minimize the main program and keep the single email open. Real handy if you work in a place that has video cards that can only go to 800x600 or someshit.
3. Lotus notes also gives everyone the ability to have a cutsie little 'heading' across the top with rocket ships or bouncing balls. Come on.

My Skillset
I built little goofy forms in MS Access the other day. Kind of neat, actually. Try it - it's fun.

My Insurance
We have applied for insurance from this company workingtoday.org . It's an insurance company for freelancers, which is what we pretty much are at this point in time. Anyone ever used them? Let me know if you have - I would love to get some feedback on them.

When I win the lottery, happyrobot will offer insurance. I also take everyone out to dinner a lot. And you can all come to stay for weekend parties at our puppy farm. The happyrobot puppy and kitten and ducky farm.
