you know those ads for nutri-grain bars that say "you are what you eat" and the girl's buns are cinnamon buns? that's me with pita pizzas although not because they're fatty or anything but because i've been eating them for lunch for the past week and a half. see, i got all martha stewart on y'all and started making and freezing these little homemade pizzas so i could have something halfway decent for lunch. we have a great middle eastern place near our house that makes the most amazing pita bread. it's some serious pocket bread, i tell ya. so i throw on some pasta sauce, some cheese, pineapple, chicken, whatever i have in the fridge, wrap 'em up and freeze 'em. dee-lish.
anywho, what i failed to factor in is the notion that 8 lunches of pita pizzas would have me cringing at just the THOUGHT of a pita pizza. as my husband helpfully pointed out "i bet your body is like 85% pita right now". i bet.
i guess it's time to switch up the lunch menu. gal pal julie freezes burritos. maybe i'll try that to spice my lunch up a little bit. heh. burritos will spice it up allright.
