you know how when you were a kid or a teeanger, and you would be blissfully chilling, either alone or with a friend..say you had your tunes, your glass of coke, your journal or book...and you would be just--well--being.
And then an adult would come out--be it a relative or a family friend. And they would also want to "chill." Except they would ruin it for you. They would be so self-conciously "relaxing" with that vague, preoccupied, distracted energy that all adults emanated, the kind that filled you with so much disdain.
Well now I am afraid that I am one of those adults. You know?
