I went to this very cool barber shop in Kensington Market with Adam. I sat and watched him get shaved with a straight razor.

When we looked into the shop, we saw these two, adorable old guys sitting side by side in their barber coats, staring out the basement window.
They were blasting Potugese radio. There were orange linoleum floors and two gorgeous, old, polished red leather chairs with the gleaming metal grating--true crafstmaship.

The old, stocky barber with the white finger waved hair and coke-bottle glasses did three layers of shaving and did not say a word. He was so elegant and steady. When he was done, he did this little gesture that was an extremely contained, virtuoso-like "ta-da!" with his hands.

He put this stuff on Adam that made him smell old and Southern European. I could have stayed there all day! I am glad i don't have facial hair, but I wish I could go for a shave.
