Aphids! Millions of little bugs everywhere! A sudden dropin barometric pressure led ot the hatching and subsequent swarming of these little green bugs. Everyone in the city was swatting the air like lunatics, talking about the end of the world. When the moon rose it was actually red!
But that was probably on account of all the pollution. it is the last long weekend of the summer and boy, is it ever brutal. Suddenly, I am dying to get out of the city, but I can't. No vehicle or destination. Am I suffering from lack of imagination here? I am filled with hope and nostalgia for summers of childhood that were life-changing and long and filled with frogs and swimable water and sprinklers and canoes. I guess I am deluded. Summers haven't been like that for years. And I am starting to resent all the misguided expectation.
