You know, I think coffee is creepy. Everyone's mornings revolving around this hot, brown liquid that we carry gingerly in a cup to the office, balancing it in front of us like an offering.
A guy I met at a party was at Starbuck's coffee college where you learn to be a "barrista" (not a sollicita). He said that Starbuck's mandate is to become your "third place". Like, your first place is at home, your second is at work, and your third? You guessed it. That generic hangout where coffee junkies sit on bleached wood chairs and listen to world beat music.
Um. It's early to be at work.
