We had a long weekend in Canada on August first. It was delightful. My weekend was spent:
Watching Buffy Season Six (nerd alert)
Lounging around reading Harry Potter (oy, stiff neck)
Going for a swim (my first time doing laps in like two years - 40 mins!)
Spending time with my in-laws. Lovely brunch and bonding.
Dining on Marble Matt's rooftop patio with a spectacular view of downtown Toronto nightlife, the waterfront, the CN tower.. It was a very stylized meal that started at 7 and went until midnight. I can't count the courses. It felt like I had walked onto a set for HGTV.
Entertaining chez nous. Ilana, Jeff and sweet adorable baby Ruben came by for dinner.
Also had my cousin and his new gf over for brunch the next day.
Organized our place.
Ran errands. (Returned items that have been sitting by the door for months.)
Went mattress shopping. (Fun!)
Welcomed new temporary roomate jenn. It's strange to have someone living with us after being on our own for so long. Makes me feel very married. She will totally get all the dirt on our quirks. It's great to spend extra time with her though!
Back to work on Tuesday was rough though. We are really busy at the moment and it felt like a double dose of Monday! The good news is, the work week is officially half over. Sigh.
