in an earlier post, i mentioned leaving the south. yes, craig and i cannot wait to leave the south. we are hoping to move north or, if craig has his way, west for awhile. this, of course, is when craig graduates in may 2003.
we do not like the south.
hmmm. what i mean to say is there are many things we do like. but we just don't love it. when we're away from raleigh, we don't long for it. there's too many people here, you have to drive everywhere and the people are strange - too rich, too consumptive and too clueless. if we're going to live in a town full of SUVs we at least want it to be because of the snow. not because they didn't have any else to spend their money on.
june through october makes me want to slit my throat. i am most happy in decemeber when i can walk the dog with wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt and sweat pants.
i would be much happier near the beach or nearer the mountains. right now we will have to deal with the piedmont: heat, smog, multitude of highways, thousands of cars and multi-million dollar gated communities. ho-hum.
