inspired by my sister-in-law's house, i re-did our porch yesterday. i mean, apartment complex living sucks, there's no two ways about it. we have a westerly facing apartment where not one ray of sun hits. we have bright, indirect light on the porch so i was able to buy a small tree and two plants that need only indirect light to survive. i moved the futon around and clean-up a bit. so it's nice and spiffy out there. sure, i can't stand to sit out there until it's 11 pm and the thermometer dips to 85 degrees but it's still nice to look out there and pretend i live in a house. or a townhouse.
next project: a new bookcase.
