Monkey Mountain
Many of you (3) may remember my 'thing' about Monkey Mountain in Hong Kong. I don't know the real name of the mountain, but I had read an article about it once, and I asked Taiwai (a HK native) what the official name of the mountain was and he replied, "um, I don't know. We just called it Monkey Mountain"

I have a co-worker, er, a colleague (once you reach a certain salary I think you can call co-workers "colleagues" - I don't know what the salary level is, though, so you are on your own with that part) who is going to HK over the Christmas/New Years break.
I asked him if he was going to Monkey Mountain and he totally looked at me like I was a retard (surprise).
He says he has never heard of it.
Maybe Taiwai was setting me up (but then our other HK pal Ronald kind of agreed with Taiwai on it).
Maybe it was a conspiracy.

Christmas is roaring towards me
I guess it is a shame that Christmas is barely about the birth of JC anymore. Not that I am religious but I always think it's a bit hypocritical of people who aren't down with the JC to celebrate JC-mas. I mean, I am not really down with the JC myself - I have a history of not being down with the JC - so why the hell am I celebrating Christmas like a giddy little kid?
(um, new toys dumbass)
(tinsel and wrapping paper)
Maybe I should go on a spiritual journey.
Maybe I should become a hippy.
Maybe I should stop saying maybe.

WTC 2
Have you seen the new suggested designs for the world trade center space?
Interesting ideas.
I have always been an architecture fan and took a few drafting classes and history of architecture classes when at university (that was after I was in hospital).
When looking at the designs, I found myself being drawn to the more classic, conservative designs. With all the history in lower manahattan, I keep wondering if these structures should be more reflective of the spaces around it.

Wait, I guess the only history that is around the WTC site is towards the east and south-east, but still.

"you mean reflect more of a landfill look?"

No, but. I don't know. Many of these designs presented mock-ups of what the skyline would look like and most of them look, well, crappy.
That is the technical architectural term I was looking for.

"Skyline? Where did that come from? I thought you were talking about the immediate neighborhood?"

I think the WTC should just be a huge 100 story J&R Electronics store.

Apple
Ok, I like OS-X and all on the Mac, but I can't get used to the Apple key used to perform functions and not the CTRL key.
What the hell.
What do you use the CTRL for then?
More shortcuts? How do you keep track of them all?

Baking
Mrs. Robot has been baking a lot this week. Our apartment smells good.

Maybe I should become a hippy
Maybe I should shut up.
