Do they serve coffee in high school?

Bush Press Conference
I listened to that whole thing last night. My favorite was the fact that all the questions were submitted beforehand - except for that one where the fellow asked what mistakes Bush had made during his reign.
I literally guffawed out loud.
GOL!
GOL!

(OK, the pre-submitted questions thing may just be a rumor according to the newsies today)

Oh, the other classic moment was his bad dodging of the question about him and Dick Cheney and the 9-11 commission...
QUESTION: Mr. President, why are you and the vice president insisting on appearing together before the 9-11 commission? And, Mr. President, who will we be handing the Iraqi government over to on June 30th?
BUSH: We'll find that out soon. That's what Mr. Brahimi is doing. He's figuring out the nature of the entity we'll be handing sovereignty over.
And, secondly, because the 9-11 commission wants to ask us questions, that's why we're meeting. And I look forward to meeting with them and answering their questions.
QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE) I was asking why you're appearing together, rather than separately, which was their request.
BUSH: Because it's a good chance for both of us to answer questions that the 9-11 commission is looking forward to asking us. And I'm looking forward to answering them.

I GOL'd on that one, too.

Two things on TV that need reviews
I am kicking myself for not watching that Nick & Jessica Variety show the other night (Sunday night I believe). I read a review this morning, and it just seemed horrendous.
Did anyone watch it? If you did, can you submit a review for the TV Sucks column?

Also, The Swan. Anyone watching that crap?

Words that make me laugh
1. bottom
2. toodles
3. rod

Robot Re-design
I have been making minor changes to the site (a lot of back-end stuff), but also have been working on some slight re-designs for the main menu.
Thoughts? It's not looking like a gaming site is it?

Dogs I regulary see on my walk to work
1. The pug with the long tail (yes, it's not curled or stumpy… but normal dog tail length)
2. The pit bull with the big butt who looks like a sweet heart
3. The two curly retrievers

Youth wasted on Youth
I was thinking how comfortable I am becoming with myself. Sure, there are still issues and I am by no means perfect or where I want to be in my life, but I have slowly begun to make peace with myself. I am way more comfortable with myself than I was when I was a teen - I think we have to be.

Can you imagine doing high school again, but with your current brain?
Would the other people have teen brains or post-teen brains? That would be a big thing to consider.
A bunch of 30-something brains wandering around in the bodies of 16yr olds.

My locker would probably still be messy.
I would probably still make a lot of mix tapes (or CDs as they call them).
Do they serve coffee in high school?

Falluja
What a name: Falluja
Falluja.
Falluja.
Falluja.

I don't even know what to say about Iraq anymore, so in the spirit of not clogging the web with half-assed opinions of world news as I sit at my American desk covered in western electronic opulence... I won't say anything.
But, boy oh boy.
OK, well, I'll say one thing: all these countries pulling out their citizens because of kidnapping fears is unfortunate. Granted, they shouldn't just leave their people there to get kidnapped, but we need more international folks, not less.

Hold tight Pat

Rememberin'
Does anyone have a copy of that german article about Pat kicking Matt's balls and them being gay piano tuners and stuff? I don't seem to have a copy of it... no wheres.

Remember when Matt was taking spanish classes and had that list on McSweeneys? That was funny.

Greatest Hosting Company ever
If you are on Time Warner's Road Runner down south, does this site seem any faster? Theoretically it should.
The robot got moved to a new server that is like, um, really close to a Road-Runner backbone (or so they tell me).
Did I mention that I love our hosting company?
ForceField is the dopest.

Backbone Smackbone.

Four creatures I read about in an article on Slate
gerbils with birth defects
Mr. Potato Rats
drug-addled, castrato hamsters
"hell lemurs"

That would make a good reality show. Send ten people back to HS and make them battle it out for a million dollars. Ten women have to vie for Prom Queen with the current lot of HS chicks (or, females) already expecting to be The One. And it'd be called, Prom Queen, and Donald Trump would somehow be involved.

I think we need more international folks, not, FEWER.
