Film and Television Rights: Annoying Words, part 2

Milieu

I heard this word usually more than once a day when I was in school at Columbia. I wanted to set out a saucer of milk every time. I don't mean to come across as anti-intellectual, or heaven forbid, anti-French, but when you park your Peugeot in your garage and chat about the milieu of the recent novel you read, I'll be parking my Chevy in its car hole, and gabbing about the setting of the latest story book.
