02.01.05 To make a long story short, last Thursday, after cheerily replying to an e-mail from the always laugh-inducing Ilana (this is dedicated to you btw!), about how "no, I hadn't fallen down yet that day or had any recent injuries," I promptly returned home, and wiped out on the stairs, hitting my assbone in the process. It still hurts. A lot.
Nonethelss, I have been keeping up with my regular runs and gym routine. Last night, I went in for an "assessment" at the gym. I was terrified. I don't really want to know my percentage body fat or how wimpy I am, do I?
Well it turns out I am doing ok. In a minute each, I managed to pull off 31 stomach crunches and 29 push-ups. They were knee bent lady pushups, but still, am I not fierce? My resting heart rate, excellent! Flexibility, above average (thank you yoga!) and body fat, well, it needs improvement (no shocker) but I can live with it.
My current asspain is a gentle reminder to be thankful that there was no measure for spastic tendencies because we all know I would be off the chart!
In lame defense of my current condition, all I can offer is the following: elanamatic + super slippery steep stairs + slick new nylon heavy thermal socks + mad rage = the inevitable.
