05.14.05 Some days she relished routine. She loved to curl up inside it and take comfort in it's well-worn embrace. Like a soothing meal of macaroni and cheese, she knew what to expect and ate hungrily until the bowl was licked clean. If she got bored with this meal, she knew she could spice it up with fantasy and invention.
Today though, she longed for the grand seduction. The gorgeous Euro-accented mystery of the unknown. She strolled the city streets, red shoes clicking, in search of this long lost paramour. Kicking off her heels, she climbed trees, hunting and pecking for the cluck of adventure that came along for the ride.
She finally found it. It was in the breeze that whipped through her hair, it's coolness left her tingling with delight. She sighed contentedly, poured herself another cup of coffee and continued to read the weekend paper.
