Pony:
Her neighbour, the reverend, came by a few weeks ago and asked whether she wanted him to say a prayer for her.
"No thank you!" she said, brightly. A staunch atheist, she will have no ceremony. Just a scattering of her ashes on my lake. Lake Superior.(the only line I remember from the poem she wrote).

We did not know that the last time we saw her Tuesday night would be the last time she was lucid before she died.

You know my doctor had this terrific poem in his office and I wish I could remember it.
About dying?
