I forget how much he listens.
G overhears me telling a story to my mom, wherein I say "I was freaked out, but it was just in my head" and looks serious for a few long moments:
"Mommy... You are scared because there is something in your head?"
"No honey, there is nothing in mommy's head."
Silence. "I mean, there's just my brain." I am stumbling. There really IS nothing in my head.
My mom pipes in: "Your mind. Is in your head." As if that could bring clarity.
Gabriel's eyes tear up. "Mommy, you were scared?"
And he hugs me.
30 minutes later. "You were scared because there was something in your head?"
