If I ran the DNC
If I was in charge of running the Democratic Party, apart from changing the name to the “American Ball Kickers Party (BIG UP!)”, I’d spend the remaining funding on simple posters, radio spots, and television ads that would only feature this text from President Ronald Reagan – circa 1980

It might be well if you ask yourself are you better off than you were four years ago? Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in the country than there was four years ago? Is America as respected throughout the world as it was? Do you feel that our security is as safe? That we're as strong as we were four years ago? And if you answer all of those questions yes, why then I think your choice is very obvious as to who you'll vote for. If you don't agree, if you don't think that this course that we've been on for the last four years is what you would like to see us follow for the next four, then I could suggest another choice that you have.
- Ronald Reagan

Collaspe of Western Civilization as we know it
With all the financial trouble right now, the DNC might as well remind people (strongly) who has been in the White House for the past eight years. Granted, I don’t think this crisis falls squarely down on one party, but that has never stopped politicians before.

Bin Laden Won?
We are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy” (CNN)

Are the terrorists ultimately winning (despite our troops fighting the good fight overseas)?
Part of me (the pointy part) wants to go back in time and tell Bin Laden, “No need to ram those planes in the building – just sit back and let greed run it’s course”.
Would the world be in a similar situation right now if 9/11 had never happened?
Who is the evil doer here? Greed or Al Qaeda?
Greedy Al Queda?
Greedo?

1980
Good article about that debate and the 1980 election in general:

Print & Hang
Oh, and if you want to print and hang the newest poster released by the American Ball Kickers Party (BIG UP!), you can get it here as a PDF.

In happier news
Mrs. Robot completed the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer yesterday. She was exhausted and it didn't help that the crazy Atlantic Avenue street party thing was happening (so she couldn't take a cab home).
But she is well and I think had a very good time.
She raised a lot of money and I have to give a shout out to everyone who contributed.
"WOOOOOOO!"
(that was my shout)

Last night I made tacos and used that Rick Bayless recipe for guacamole with tomatilla salsa. It was the tasty.
