OK, something is up, cuz there was an article in the commuter paper citing the diverse career of a lesbian standup comedian. First they said she "gets around" and then they called her an "eager beaver". Who edits that, anyways?
On Sunday I sat in the park with the Julia, Rebecca and Emily, the girls I have been brunching with for 3 years. A 6-yr old girl named Vonda came up to us collecting pinecones in her hat and asked us would we please hand her the pinecones around us and yes, even the broken ones. She was not sure why she was collecting them. She asked what we had each had for breakfast that morning. Then she asked us our names. She wanted to know why we were lying in the grass and why we had taken our shoes off. Her name was "Vonda, not Wanda. I appreciate that."
