Some things I saw over the weekend now that I am living in Queens again:
1. Friday night walking home from a big rock show, I heard music blaring from a basement apartment where the door was wide open. Someone was listening to "Eye of the Tiger" and singing along to beat the band. It was so earnest it made me blush.
2. A limo pulls up to me as I am crossing the street and a man inside tries to sell me a Rolex. I don't know if it was real or not.
3. I live across the street from a "men only" club, lot's of old school guys sitting at card tables at ungodly hours of the evening
In short, it feels pretty good to be home again
