Kunitz on his favorite Hopkins Poem

«« past   |   future »»

Made for the Favorite Poem Project, and found on Poems Out Loud via Flavorpill's Daily Dose.

When I first read this poem around 1990, in an overheated classroom on the sleepy campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I had an uncannily similar experience as Mr. Kunitz did as a young man in 1926, in a Harvard library.
