I came across these pics from two years ago, when I went with a local NGO in Uttar Pradesh to a small village called Varvarra. I played with kids, teachign them to use my camer while my chaperone spoke to the village council about their ideas for a garden near the water purification structure.

The villagers had already planted flowers in their fledgling garden and had picked some early blooms and made me a bouquet. As you can tell my the picture, I was a bit surprised and embarassed with the generosity of the gesture.

The boys were hilarious, posing with the flowers in front of the blue door with the utmost solemnity. The two that i am in are their first photos.
